On the instructions of the Supreme Court, Champat Rai, general secretary of Ram Janmabhoomi Tirtha Kshetra Trust, set up for the construction of the Ram temple, says that the trust account will be opened only with a one rupee currency note given by the finance ministry of the Narendra Modi government at the center. He said that the Modi government has given a number note in the form of a donation from the trust to the currency. The same note will now be deposited in Ramlala’s account opening in SBI branch.

Earlier, he met senior officials of State Bank of India in Raj Sadhan and discussed with them about opening the account of the trust. He told that donations will come from three lakh villages of the country. If there is a mistake in the letters and spelling of the trust’s name in many checks or drafts, how will the bank overcome it. He said that solutions to practical problems have been discussed with bank officials. Bank officials have assured to resolve all problems.
On the other hand, SBI Deputy General Manager Prashant Kumar Das said that the account will be opened on completion of other formalities apart from receipt of bylaws of the trust. He told that this account will be opened only in the old branch and in the future a new branch will also be opened in Ramjanmabhoomi campus. The meeting included the chief trustee of Ramjanmabhoomi Tirtha area, Bimalinder Mohan Pratap Mishra, the provincial stewardship of Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh Dr. Anil Mishra and AK Singh, a representative of the nominated officer from the Government of India, besides regional manager Mayur Tolani and branch manager Priyanshu Sharma.
